One week later
I’m now one week post donation surgery. Not much has changed since my last post. I did go back on the pain meds, hoping to alleviate at least some of the discomfort. Yesterday was the first day that I hadn’t napped at all since surgery. I also don’t believe I got up and moved as much as I think I should have. I really need to make a point to do that today. I slept well the first part of last night, waking up at 3:30 AM in some discomfort and it was time for my next dose of pain medicine. I took it and laid down on the couch and eventually drifted back off. I’m still feeling uncomfortable this morning, I’m just hoping it’s still signs of my body adjusting and will continue to improve.
One thing that continues is my weight loss, I’m down to 144 as of this morning. I just don’t have that large of an appetite. I ate yesterday, in fact, I ate stuff knowing that it should have a positive effect on my weight. For example, I had craving for a cheeseburger for lunch yesterday and indulged myself and got a nice greasy one from a local dive place. It was delicious, but I could only make it halfway through it before feeling stuffed.
Still, I think I’m doing pretty well for being one week after.
